Spring Break 2013

For spring break we decided we needed lots of family time so we planned a little
"stay-cation". David took three days off work so that we could do lots of fun things. On Tuesday night we went to Color Me Mine and painted the bowl that Ashley gave us for Christmas. The girls loved this project and I wasn't sure how it would turn out since they used so many different colors of glaze, but it looks great. On Wednesday we went to Planet Play during the afternoon and then went to a Jazz game that night. Our seats were really high up and I was super nervous that one of the girls would fall, but they were fine and loved being there. On Thursday morning we took a trip to the zoo. The weather was perfect and it wasn't too crowded when we got there. When we left, however, it was crazy busy. We went at just the right time! All the animals were active and we were able to see some of them being fed their breakfast. After the zoo we went to Liberty Park and had a picnic. We let the girls play on the playground for awhile and then went home and took a nap! On Friday we went to the movies to see "The Croods". We met our friends, the Mecham's, there and then after the movie they invited us over to hang out and play games. It was a busy week, but much needed! We love our girls and hope they enjoyed our time together as much as we did!

Easter Weekend

We had a fantastic Easter Weekend this year. On Saturday, the Easter Bunny left a basket for us filled with candy. Also, a new dress for each of the girls and new movies for all of us. That afternoon we invited all our cousins over for an easter egg hunt in our backyard. On Sunday we went to church and then went over to Sam and Becky's for a delicious dinner. It was seriously like Thanksgiving, turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, veggies, fruit...yummy! After dinner the girls went outside and had another egg hunt, but this time instead of candy, the eggs were filled with coins! Each of them came home with around $4 in change! They were so excited to put their coins in their piggy banks to save for our Disneyland trip that we are going on later this year. Happy Easter!

Let's Party!

Because we have three birthdays in a row, we always have one big party to celebrate it all. We invite all the family over and have lots of dessert. We have an amazing family and are so blessed to be able to have them around all the time!

Avery turns 4!

Our little Avery-bug turned four on Feb. 8th. She is the last birthday to wrap up our birthday week celebration. She waited so patiently while we celebrated Abbey's and my birthdays. The week before her birthday we had a bunch of my family over for a game night and all the kids were playing downstairs in the basement. Avery and my nephew Chase happened to find where Avery's presents were hidden and got them all out and opened the boxes. She knew all her gifts, but we wrapped them up anyway. She was really excited to get her new Princess bike!

Abbey turns 9!

Abbey turned 9 on February 6th. For her birthday she got a new Utes shirt. (She is the only Utes fan in the family.) She also got some new shoes, a Dance Dance revolution game a new game for her DSi. Happy Birthday Abbey! We love you like crazy!
