On Christmas Eve we have a party with my parents and siblings. This year all the grandkids got new socks and a roll of shiny new quarters for their piggy banks. We traded families between the siblings and this year Dave and Ashley had us. They gave us an unfinished clay bowl and a gift card to the pottery store called Color Me Mine to go and paint the bowl as a family. It was such a unique gift! We totally loved it and it was really fun to go finish it and make it our own! My parents gave us a beautiful framed picture of a family tree that was drawn and colored by Ashley's mom. Every year we try to do some type of service and this year we decided to all bring a bunch of $5 bills and then take them over to Target with a little note that said "Merry Christmas" on it. We hid the money in shoes, inside clothing pockets, taped to baby formula and other items throughout the store. We hope it helped out some last minute Christmas shoppers. I love being able to teach my kids that Christmas is about giving and making someone else happy.
Thanks for everything!!
