Last night (Tuesday) we had our last supper with our friends Chad, Anya, and baby Lincoln (Avery's boyfriend). They are leaving us to move to Indianapolis for Chad's residency. We met the Turner's almost four years ago when we made a big move and sold our house in Tooele to move to a little two bedroom apartment downtown so David could go back to school at the U. It was a huge sacrifice for us since we were downsizing quite a bit from our 4 bedroom house. The only good thing about giving up my house was meeting our new friends. Chad and Anya were the managers of the building and after a few months we started hanging out with them all the time. We spent a lot of weekends playing cards, watching movies, and just sitting around chatting. A few of our favorite games have been nines, hand and foot, and boggle. When we first met, Chad was in his first year of medical school and now he is a doctor. Time has flown by! We prayed so hard for them to get to stay in Utah for residency, but because he is going into Orthopedic Surgery he was lucky to match at all (Indiana was their 11th choice). They will live there for about 5 years and hopefully they will come back to us after that.
We went to dinner at Robintino's in Bountiful and then went to Dairy Ann's after for some ice cream. We took a few pictures of our last time hanging out with all of us there. If we are lucky, we will get to see them again during the holidays. We are going to miss them like crazy!

oh I LOVE Dairy Ann's.... I haven't been there in years! Their slushes with ice cream are the best!! Yum yum!
Carmen...commenting on your going to gateway today for playtime and lunch...your right it's a small world, but that water station is too small for all the people there...we probably were right next to each other and we would have never seen each other...it was CRAZY...but fun never-the-less
